Hugh Burden photographer - These photographs are from a recent on going project to revisit the genre 'landscape photograph'.

The starting point in many instances has been textures; as in a moss covered wall or a lichen covered facade. The suggestion of sky, hills, water and sky is created by the light and dark areas, the position of moss, lichen or debris. By photographing complementary elements to follow these clues and with post production techniques in photoshop the scene is cast.

More fantastical than real, more illustrative than pictorial - a new but strangely familiar landscape emanates to explore and enjoy.

When framing get archival acid and lignin free window mats, this ensures the longevity of your prints. For the frames my personal preference is go for simple white or black; the images look fabulous.
